Aims and Scope
The aim of the Ukrainian Gestalt Journal is to publish original theoretical works, clinical materials, scientific research, essays, reviews, and descriptions of experimental practice in the field of Gestalt therapy.
The journal recognizes the critical importance of translating classical and contemporary texts on Gestalt therapy and obtains written permission from publishers and authors for the publication of such translations.
Objectives of the Journal:
- To publish original theoretical contributions, scientific research, and clinical materials that advance and deepen the understanding of Gestalt therapy in Ukraine.
- To highlight current issues within the Ukrainian Gestalt community, including professional training, ethical concerns, adaptation of the method to the Ukrainian cultural context, and the realities of wartime.
- To explore the integration and intersections of Gestalt therapy with psychodrama, psychoanalysis, and other approaches.
- To create a space for reflective and dialogical forms of knowledge exchange, including essays and conversations among professionals that develop Gestalt thinking through personal voice.
- To maintain and promote the Ukrainian terminological tradition in Gestalt therapy, ensuring consistency in translation practices and the quality of professional language.
- To facilitate professional discussion of current challenges in Gestalt therapy, including supervision, professional burnout, and ethics in the context of migration crises and war.
- To uphold standards of academic integrity through double-blind peer review and transparency of editorial policies.
